Skógafoss was my FAVORITE stop in Iceland. It's right off the Ring Road and is the most spectacular waterfall. Enjoy the spray at the bottom and then climb to the top where you'll find the happiest surprise...

At the top there's a path that follows along river and takes you past....26 waterfalls! The entire hike is around 15 km so we only walked the first few kilometers but I could have spent a lifetime on that trail. The green hills rolled on and on.
The fog began to roll in, but by now it was an old friend that I looked forward to seeing again. It added to the wild beauty of Iceland.
