I miss London. And England. I think it's the most perfect place in the world. Sometimes if I've been in one place for too I itching to travel again. If I could pack up and leave tomorrow, I'd head straight to England. I love it. I love the buildings, the teashops, the rolling green hills. I love that England still has stone walls to mark property lines and has high tea. I even love riding the Tube. I think it's super fun. And the busses is a whole different level of awesome. I love that the English sit in the parks during their lunch hour. I love riding bikes through London and feeling oh so posh. I love eating Indian food while I wander through Camden market and nibbling on pastries on Portobello Road. I love the British Monarchy and all the pomp and circumstance. I love the old stone cottages that dot the countryside and the old pubs that line the streets. I love the accents and how everything sounds infinitely more charming. Basically, I love everything about England and I'm just dying to go back.

(Photo dump!)

Last night I went out to dinner with a bunch of friends to celebrate one of their birthdays. Fall has taken over Baltimore and I was a bit chilly as I walked the few blocks to the restaurant. I then realized a major oversight in closet: I don't own a fall coat!

Sometimes I wish I didn't have to grow up. I wish I was still in kindergarten or something and the biggest worry in my life is if there is going to be chocolate milk after nap time. Oh, the dreams. I am growing up, though.

Is it just me or is writing a memoir THE thing to do now?

How cute are these?! I found them at West Elm and just died. Who says you can't be green and witty? :)

Two hundred years ago, Baltimore was the center of the world. Francis Scott Key wrote the Star Spangled Banner in Baltimore's harbor. I had no idea! I must have missed that day in 7th grade history... To commemorate the event, Baltimore pulled out all the stops. There were fireworks, the Blue Angels, and massive ships from all over the world. I've never seen anything like it!

I started the day at the British, because I love everything British :)

I have a list of books that I want to buy. It gets longer with each passing day, but ever now and then the book gods smile down and I actually get to buy a book. This beautiful event happened this weekend and I bought 642 Things to Write About. I saw this book and decided I needed it, so I bought it. I've also decided that on Mondays I'll write a post from this book.

So begin Monday Musing Number 1: What would you buy from the SkyMall Catalog?

Does anyone else collect quotes? I'm a sucker for a good quote and have a massively embarrassingly huge quote board on Pinterest. I would love to make prints of a bunch of them and scatter them all over my house, but I don't have a house that's all mine yet so I'll just share them with you, dear reader. Also, there's a disproportionate amount of quotes about love here, but I'm a hopeless romantic so there ya go :)

Fall is the best of all the season. I absolutely love this time of year. I was walking to lunch a few days ago and some of the leaves were starting to turn yellow! To say that I'm excited would be an understatement.
Now that I fancy myself a grown-up, I do grown-up things like listen to podcasts. I think I have become my mother (said with love, not disdain). NPR is a pre-set in my car and I subscribe to several of their podcasts and this is my podcast-listening face:

So, H&M has a home goods section?! I stumbled on it today (I don't know why I haven't found it earlier) and it is magical! I think I'm in heaven.

Well, I've been in grad school for one month. I can't believe how quickly time has gone!

Wow, sorry for all the "days of the week" posts. I stumbled on this clip and absolutely died! If Jimmy and I just met, I know we'd be best friends.

So I should be studying, but instead I'm procrastinating. I saw this pun on Pinterest today, which led to me finding others, and finally to sharing them with you. Most of them could be Valentines I realized, but I still think they're funny. Enjoy!

Every now and then I find myself with a free Friday night. When I first got to college plan-free Fridays used to stress me out, but now I cherish them. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy going out with friends or whatever, but I also like just cozying up in my bed with a good movie or great book.

Today I indulged in some retail therapy. Two days of classes is hard work!

Ladies, I have found the holy grail of beauty appliances. This may be the last one I'll ever need to buy and I'm a self-proclaimed beauty addict.

You know that great thing about grad school is? I only have class three day a week! With Labor Day on Monday this gave me a five day weekend, so I jetted off to Boston to spend the week with my brother and his family. This was a perfect weekend!
