I told you once that I am addicted to TedTalks. It's been a few months and the enthusiasm hasn't curbed yet :) I still listen to TedTalks fairly often. A few days ago I learned that Clayton Christensen did a talk.

WHAT?! How did I not know about this months ago?! You know the first thing I did when I got home after learning this golden tidbit of information was watch it. And it's amazing!!! It's a little long but definitely worth your time!

Provo is one of the coolest cities ever! This morning a good friend of mine and I went to farmers' market this morning. I've only been to one other farmer's market so I was expecting tons and tons of fresh veggies and not much else. Provo, however, out did itself.

This place was out of control! There was homemade soap, fresh salsa, the most delicious limeade ever, pies, lotions, and more crafts than I could count. I looooved it! Adrienne and I sampled everything in sight :) We strolled along while we sipped on our limeades (hand-squeezed in front of our eyes!) and looked at all the beautiful things for sale. Who knew there were so many talented people in Provo?! I'm pretty sure I could have spent all day in the sunshine watching people come and go from the market. It was a perfect morning :)

Sweet summertime :)

What's been on repeat on Angela's iPod?

So glad you asked! Ever since I went to Zion I have been listening to OneRepublic's "Feel Again." It's amazing--only listen if you're prepared to be addicted!

PS I wrote this post in the 2 minutes I didn't have getting ready for work this morning...be impressed :)
I love Sweden. I've never been there, but I imagine it's beautiful :) Sarah Kay will have to tell me when she gets back!

The reason I love Sweden is going to sound super superficial--I get that, but I'm going to say it anway:

I love that place! Every time I'm home in NC Mama Lo and I make a stop. I mean, this is an event. You have to plan a whole day because there's so much to see! And no one wants to be rushed at Ikea. (Also, their cinnamon buns are to DIE for so you should factor that in on your next trip!) Ikea is a real life Pinterest board-no joke. They set up the rooms and those houses that are 12 square feet but somehow have everything in them. You walk past and think, "Oh I could totally do that." It's amazing; I love it. Each time I go it makes me want to buy a house and fill it with all the cool things Ikea wants to sell me (well played, marketers).

Today, I'm going to Ikea :) I do have a list of things I need to buy, but we all know I'm coming home with much more than that. #shesgotaproblem

So happy Saturday, blogosphere, and may your day be a productive as mine :) Oh, and thanks, Sweden for creating the greatest store in the world, I owe ya one.

I have the best dad ever! He's super funny, super smart, and makes a mean dinner (I was going to put a specific meal in here, but they're all delicious so I went for the blanket statement). I'm so glad there's a special day set aside for to celebrate papas. So even though I'm a million miles away, know that I think know you're the best, Pops!

That cute boy's my papa :)

Such a handsome guy!

Since it's Father's Day there's also this amazing video about fathers:

A few weeks ago I rode the front runner (the train that runs from Provo to Odgen) to get to work in Salt Lake City. As I was riding and thinking about how chic I felt taking the train to work, I realized this was the perfect setting for the world's best love story.

The front runner would be the only set--Alfred Hitchcock Rear Window style. (If you haven't seen this movie, stop whatever you're doing and go watch it right now!) So, the whole movie is taking place on the train, nowhere else.

I decided that I would have to cast the perfect actors:

Drew (because that's a super attractive name) will be played by Joseph Gordon Levitt. He's the little boy, kind of awkward cute. (I couldn't pick just one...you're welcome :) )

Picking someone to play Jane (it's that classic 'that girl could be me' name) was harder. I went through the regulars: Emma Stone, Amanda Seyfried, Selina Gomez. None seemed right. Then I thought, "Obviously...Emma Watson!" She's British, super funny, and was in Harry Potter....win win win. Although for this role she needs to have darker hair (let's be honest, this story is about me).

Here's the story:
Drew rides the 6:20 train to Salt Lake from Provo every day to get his run of the mill job. He hates it but it pays the bills. Drew never talks to anyone; he just watches and tries to guess what each person's life looks like beyond the train. There's the doctor, the businessman, and they lady he's certain just wanders the streets every day. One day someone new boards the train: a beautiful young girl with deep brown hair.

Jane is a foreign exchange student. She's been in Provo for exactly 2.3 days. She found a job in Salt Lake as a receptionist  in a major law firm. Jane doesn't know a single person, is terribly shy, and feels super awkward. The first morning she notices Drew, but doesn't have the courage to say anything. She drops her gaze, blushes, and takes a seat on the opposite side of the train.

This silent flirting continues for the first week until Drew gets up the courage to sit next to her. They introduce themselves and talk all the way to SLC where they split ways for the day.

This continues for a few weeks and Drew realizes that he lives for the train ride to work. (Begin cute montage during which their 'courtship' plays out) One Monday Drew boards the train and anticipates Jane's arrival, but she never comes. She misses for the next three weeks. Drew is worried, but has no way to contact her.

During Jane's absence, another girl begins riding the train. Unlike Jane, she immediately sits next to Drew. They continue to ride with each other, but Drew knows that she'll never be Jane (because he's perfect). Jane finally returns, but sees Drew with the Other Girl (probably played by Scarlett Johanssen). It looks like Drew has moved on so Jane quickly slips away into another car, but not before Drew sees her.

Jane resists talking with him and he eventually leaves. A few commutes continue in this manner, with Jane and Drew riding apart. Drew, however, has stopped talking to Other Girl. Finally, after an excruciatingly long time, Drew and Jane finally make amends. The movie ends with Drew and Jane exiting the train, but instead of separating, they turn and walk together.

I think I'll call it "6:20 to Salt Lake." It's original, easy to remember.

Sure it's like every other chick flick...it was a really long train ride...
I've decided that I'm going to go vegetarian for the summer. I'm not hard core enough to do it forever, but I had a friend who did it last summer and she said it was an interesting experience. I'm not doing it for animal rights or anything, just to switch up my diet and for funsies. Maybe I'll hate it, but I will say that my diet is A LOT more colorful now. You should see my fridge! I started last Monday and it's going well so far. I slipped a couple times, but that's ok :) I'm not perfect, right?

So far I've eaten lots of couscous, salad, veggies, and fruits. This week I think I'm going to break into beans and quinoa. I need something more filling. If anyone knows any awesome vegetarian recipes, help a sister out and share 'em :)

What a crazy week this has been! It was the first full week of my internship. The week got off to a rocky start, not because of the internship but because I'm a forgetful little person. Monday was my birthday and also the first day that I was on-the-job (ie, not orientation).

Since it was a new job I wanted to make a good first impression, so I picked an awesome outfit, made sure my hair looked great, and dashed out the door so I could get there a little early. My internship is in Salt Lake. I don't go there super often so I wasn't sure where to park so I just zipped into the parking garage behind my job. During the course of the morning my boss asked if I had headphones so I could some online training. I opened my bag (I knew I had packed my headphones in purse) and my purse was nowhere to be found. I tried to keep my cool, but inside I was panicking. No purse = no wallet = no lunch = no parking.

My mind then starts working to figure out how I'm going to get out of this situation. I hadn't even realized that I wouldn't be getting lunch yet; I was solely concerned with getting my car out of parking jail. I didn't have my bankcard on since it was in my wallet and my bank doesn't have brick and mortar branches. Luckily I hadn't closed one of my other accounts. During my lunch break I ran to the bank to withdraw cash for parking. My parking bill was going to be $20 (insane!). My account only have $19. I took it all and ran back to the office.

At this point I'm still trying to figure out how I'm getting home. I figured I could leave my car overnight and just take the train home. This wasn't ideal for many reasons but kind of looked like my only option. To make this long story short, my good friend at worked swiped her card (found out later you can't use cash to pay parking) and Jarvis was free!

Needless to say, I will never forget my purse again! It makes for a long long day! So, here's to being 22 :)
If I were ever on the show So You Think You Can Dance,  I would obviously do something like this:
