Nothing I could write could make this any better:

There it is: Everything you will ever need to know...probably.

Remember when you were little and you would think, "When I'm in college I'm going to do everything my way?" Well I'm in college and I don't do anything I thought I would do:

I'm going to stay up all night long every night!
I go to bed around 10:30. Eight o'clock class comes super early! A girl needs her beauty sleep!

I'm going to eat ice cream for breakfast!
I'm lactose intolerant. Plus ice cream that early makes you feel gross--that's why they invented yogurt :)

I'm going to sleep until noon everday!
See the first statement :)

I'm going to wear my pjs everywhere!
Since this is not socially acceptable, I wear real clothes.

I'm going to drink straight out of the milk carton!
Gross.

I will never call my parents!
EVERYDAY!

I'll skip class all the time!
Skipping class stresses me out, so I don't do it :)

Needless to say, college is not anything like I imagined it. And, don't tell my parents, but they were right about EVERYTHING! I go to sleep early, go to class, do my homework, and eat right....

Hunter Hayes, how you make me swoon...

I love summertime! It's the one time of the year where you feel like a little kid and do crazy, spontaneous things. This summer has been a little bit different for me since I'm doing a full-time internship, but I'm still finding a little time to do some fun things :) Here's a list of my favorite things about summer:

  1. Hiking
  2. Sun-kissed shoulders
  3. BBQ's at Aunt Kris's
  4. Endless hours to read
  5. Sun dresses
  6. Late night bonfires
  7. Baking, baking, baking!
  8. Trips to Zion
  9. Runs in the mountains
  10. Farmers' markets

Provo Canyon....perfection
I love living the Southland! It's one of the best places ever :)

My mama sent me this video this week and it's amazing! I love the temple :)

You know how when you have lots of siblings and you mother goes through the whole list before she gets you? "Nate, Sam, David, Nick...ANGELA!!"

Mama Lo took this to a whole new level today. I was getting ready to head out for a run when I get call from mama. This is how the conversation went (Mama in regular font, me in italics):

"What kind of shampoo do you use?"

"It depends...usually Herbal Essences. Why?"

"Because you said you were out so I'm picking some up."

"I didn't say I was out..."

"Yes, you did! Now I'm just trying to get you the right kind."

"Why are you getting mad?" (I'm mega confused at this point)

"Because you won't tell me what kind of shampoo you use!"

"I'm confused why we're having this conversation...."

"Because you put it on the list!"

(Understanding shines upon me at this point) "Oooh...I'm not Jen."

Begin uncontrollable laughter. Oh, Mama Lo...this is being told at every dinner from now through eternity :)

This is perfect! Anyone want to come with me? :) I'll bring the cute bike and backpack!

Hello, Belgium

Have you ever seen anything more perfect?!

This is snapshot from my trail run on the Fourth of July. It was a peeerfect day! The sun wasn't too hot when my roommie and I went out for run. Just enough to get sun-kissed shoulders :) The day ended with a wonderful get together at Aunt Kris's, filled with sweets, good company, and fireworks. A perfect day :)

This past spring I had an awesome roommate who taught me to make bread. I used to think bread was sooo hard to make, but this is the easiest recipe ever! I make it all the time and I just had to share it :)

Ingredients:

6 1/2 cups of flour
1 1/2 tbs yeast
1 1/2 tbs kosher salt
3 cups of warm water

(That's seriously it!)

In a gallon ice cream bucket (it really does work best!) combine the yeast, salt, and water. Mix in the flour two cups at a time until you have a dough formed. Place bucket in fridge anywhere from two hours to two weeks.

When you're ready to bake:
Heat your oven to 425. Cut a piece of dough from the bucket and form a loaf with your hands. Use the palms of your hands and be super careful not to break any of the bubbles that have developed. After you have the shape you want, place the loaf on a pammed pan and cut a few slits in the loaf (I usually do three horizontals or an 'X').

Spray the loaf with water and place in oven. Then spray the oven with water and bake for 20-40 minutes. The bread is done when the bottom sounds like a drum when you tap on it and the crust is golden brown.

If you do not want the crust to be as hard, don't spray the oven, just spray the bread.

This bread is perfect for dipping in oil and basalmic vinegar or with honey butter and jam! Enjoy :)
