Have you ever had those times when you feel like your head is full of everything and nothing all at once? That's totally how I feel. I opened up this page and stared at it for a few days hoping that inspiration would strike. It almost felt like it was mocking me. Just this big, blank, white page waiting to be filled with thoughts annnnnnd....nothing. And a whole lot of it.

I can't seem to string enough thoughts together to make one cohesive post. Instead it's been little bits and pieces of a whole lot of things that don't really connect with each other or aren't fully formulated. So in the absence of a fully formulated post, here's a laundry list of thought fragments:

  1. I'm reading more books than I can count but am thoroughly enjoying the biography of John Adams. Seriously, he was the man. His house is in Boston and I'm saving a trip to it as a "Congrats, you finished a really long book!" treat.
  2. I have a serious addiction to postcards lately. I think I've bought like 15 in the last two weeks. They're so inexpensive and they make great decorations. I bought a bulletin board and it's now my favorite part of my room. Most of them are prints by Dutch Masters and they're perfect.
  3. I think I'm going to run a 10k. It seems like a happy medium between too short and too long.
  4. I stumbled across a beginners French podcast. I decided that it would be interesting to read Les Mis in French because why not :) The only problem is that I know zero French. Ok, that's not true, I can now great people and ask how they're doing as well as tell them that I'll see them tomorrow. However, my pronunciation is truly terrible. Somewhere Victor Hugo is turning over in his grave.
  5. Shakespeare. In. The. Park.
  6. Also, journaling. I'm a huge fan. I made it past the very middle part of my journal this week and it felt like no small accomplishment.

  2. I just finished Count of Monte Cristo! I know you are proud. I liked it very much, but it does not surpass The Secret Garden. :)

  4. I also wanted to read Les Miserables in French. Then I thought that was too hard so I read the unabridged version in English. May you have better luck than I.
